on the Lake
The homeowners had very specific goals and design elements in mind for their new home, starting with the front door and continuing through to their lake view.
They had built before, but they were planning for this time to be the last time. They wanted to make sure the floor plan fit their vision — and their lifestyle needs long term.
Forever Home
When the initial plans from the architectural designer didn’t quite fit their vision, the homeowners had me review the plans and make suggestions. Based on my review, we collaborated with the architectural designer to redesign the layout.
The final plans not only made the most of the narrow, steeply sloping lot and lake view, they also included all the design elements the homeowners wanted.

THE STORY
Billie and Joe weren’t new to the home building process — they were living in a home they’d built--but they wanted to avoid some of the mistakes they’d made the last time. They also had very specific design elements and goals in mind for this forever home. Billie loves design and wanted to be an integral part of the design process. She also knew the limitations her travel-heavy job would put on her, so she wanted help with the direction and choices.
The initial building plans were done by an architectural designer based on the lot shape and size.
